Save the Date: First-Ever Concealed Carry Expo Planned for May, 2015

Gun ownership and the carrying of guns, whether concealed or in the open, are things that have been known to raise a few hackles. It’s also something that many people love and that has many positive benefits to society, and in 2015, the U.S. Concealed Carry Association (USCCA) plans to celebrate those good things. It will be interesting to see how successful it turns out to be.

USCCA is described as “the first and largest, member-owned association designed to educate, train, and insure responsibly armed Americans.” They offer their members insurance for criminal and civil defense as well as product info and advice geared toward those who choose to carry concealed firearms.

The 2015 USCCA Concealed Carry Expo, billed as “the first expo of its kind dedicated to the concealed carry lifestyle,” is fully funded by USCCA and will offer educational experiences such as home- and self-defense classes in addition to retailers’ and manufacturers’ booths. Heck, they’re even planning a “Concealed Carry Fashion show,” where you can eyeball the latest in gun-totin’ duds–and buy them afterward.

Guest speakers currently slated to appear are David A. Clarke Jr. (Milwaukee County, Wisconsin Sheriff), Mark Walters (Armed American Radio), and Tim Schmidt (USCCA President and CEO).

“The USCCA Concealed Carry Expo will bring together all aspects of the concealed carry lifestyle, from guns and gear to instruction, training and insight. Our goal is to give anyone interested in self-defense the information and access they need to prepare for any eventuality. This event will be the premier opportunity for vendors to highlight their goods and services and for consumers to gain in-depth information,” said Executive Editor of Concealed Carry Magazine, Kevin Michalowski.

Want to be a sponsor or exhibit there? You’ll get a discount if you sign up before October 1st, 2014.

The expo will be located in West Bend, Wisconsin, at Washington County Fair Park, and the dates are set as May 8, 9, and 10, 2014 (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday). USCCA members get in free; I didn’t see any mention of non-members.

More power to ’em! Concealed carry is a very good thing with many benefits, and it deserves to be celebrated.
