Bill Engvall replaces Jay Leno at SHOT Show State of the Industry Dinner

A pro-gun comedian who enjoys hunting and target shooting will replace Jay Leno as the featured entertainer at the 2015 SHOT Show’s State of the Industry Dinner, the National Shooting Sports Foundation announced today.

Bill Engvall, a stand-up comedian who has done comedy albums, TV, and movies, will perform for hundreds of industry professionals at the dinner on Tuesday, January 20th in the Venetian Hotel’s Palazzo Ballroom.

“We are extremely happy that Bill Engvall has agreed to perform at the SHOT Show’s State of the Industry Dinner,” said NSSF President Steve Sanetti in a press release today. “Bill has been at the SHOT Show before and proudly supports America’s hunting and recreational shooting traditions, so he knows that a full house will warmly welcome him.”

Engvall is replacing former Tonight Show host Jay Leno who abruptly backed out of his commitment to perform at the event in November after protests from anti-gun groups.

The SHOT Show, the trade show for the firearms and hunting industry, is owned by the National Shooting Sports Foundation. Attendance at the show will be restricted to industry professionals and approved media. Tickets for the State of the Industry Dinner are $115 for NSSF members and $135 for non-members.
