Review: SurvivAMINO Protein Replacement

As much as I hate to admit it, I’m getting older. And with age comes wisdom, wisdom that tells me not to carry as much weight in my “bug out bag” as I used to. That means eliminating or replacing something with something a bit lighter.

Any good bugout bag needs protein, and as much as I love a good steak or burger, I can’t carry them in my pack. I have some freeze-dried foods and high-energy bars, but until recently, I didn’t have a good way to carry protein along.

Enter SurvivAMINO 100% protein replacement pills. Now, keep in mind that I’m no expert in this field. SurvivAMINO consists of pure amino acids that can easily take care of your daily protein needs while taking up less space and weighing less than beef jerky or something of that sort.

According to the manufacturer’s website, all protein can be broken down into combinations of twenty amino acids, and 8 of those are essential; without them, body functions begin to shut down in a few weeks.

Just to clarify things, SurvivAMINO is NOT a total replacement for food. It is ONLY a replacement for protein, so keep that in mind. Neither is it a replacement for vitamins, so you might want to keep those multivitamins in your survival supplies.

I will admit that when I received the SurvivAMINO tablets, I was skeptical to say the least. How could some little tablets be a replacement for protein? So I set out to actually test its claims as best I could.

I cut out all protein from my diet and began taking SurvivAMINO tablets according to the directions, and although I still had a “taste” for a good burger, I didn’t really “need” any protein. Hard to explain, but I’m sure most people know what I mean. We love our meat, and we get a hankering for it every now and then even when we don’t really “need” it. Well, that’s how it was during my week-long experiment. It wasn’t a scientific experiment, but it was the best I could do.

As a lifelong hunter, I can see carrying SurvivAMINO tablets in my SUV and in my day pack while hunting. One never knows when he or she might get lost or injured while hunting. It would make sense to have these little tablets as well as some other food.

There aren’t a lot of products that I give my full endorsement to because most things don’t live up to the hype surrounding them or they just don’t deserve a place in your pack. But in my humble opinion, if you are serious about survival, you really should have a bottle or two of SurvivAMINO tablets in your pack.

These protein replacement tablets might just be one of the top five new survival-related products to come along in the last 20 years.
