You Haven’t Heard of These Williams Sisters — But You Should

Do a Web search for ‘Williams sisters,’ and what do you get? A bunch of info on renowned tennis players Venus and Serena. But there are a couple of other Williams sisters who are making a name for themselves on the shooting range rather than the tennis court.

Justine and Jalise Williams (Justine in the brunette, just so you know) are 13 and 12 years old, respectively. And they’re superb competitive shooters.

These two young ladies are part of Team Springfield™ and have been known to out-draw their coach, Rob Leatham. Pretty wonderful, if you ask me.

Turns out, they were well on their way when they were “discovered” by Leatham at the USPSA Nationals. And they’re serious shooters.

While the girls are tearing up stages in Three-Gun, USPSA, and Steel Challenge, they’re also racking up straight-A report cards, dancing, reading, using their hard-earned black belt karate skills, and doing a little motocross.

The sisters didn’t just stumble into their many sponsorships. Under the coaching of Glen Wong, they practice every other day during the school year and five days a week during the summer. At 200 rounds each per practice session, they’re getting serious trigger time.
