Watch: 86-Year-Old Splits Huge Granite Block with Hand Tools

This is impressive. An old man with hammers and some spikes splits a tremendous big block of granite, all by his lonesome. And maybe the best part is that he’s wearing a coat, sweater vest, and a fashionable hat while he does the job.

Some holes drilled by hand power and a row of spikes, then he pounds the spikes with a huge sledge hammer just right, creating an impressively straight crack in the granite. Awesome!

Amazing. I’m still trying to figure out how I can use this as a survival skill, but if I try hard enough, it’ll come to me… what do y’all think?
