Watch: New Muck and Irish Setter Boots at 2017 ATA Show

Some folks from our sister site ArcheryTalk.com have been checking out new hunting gear at the 2017 ATA Show. Here are a couple videos highlighting some new hunting boots from two well-known companies, Muck and Irish Setter.

This one features the Woody Arctic Ice, which is being introduced for fall 2017. The funky sole material feels smooth to the touch, but they say when you wear it on wet slippery ice it “feels like you’re wearing spikes.”

The tall version of these boots are temperature rated for -60 degrees! Yep, 60 below. Wow.

Next, Irish Setter talks about its new Ravine model boot. This is yet another boot that uses “new sole technology.” These waterproof boots sound pretty good for tough terrain and come in both insulated and uninsulated versions.

The insulated model uses Primaloft insulation, and though I’ve never tried it in boots, I am a true believer in Primaloft insulation. I have a set of Russell brand jacket and pants with Primaloft, and wearing them feels like I’m wearing a nice snug sleeping bag.

Irish Setter Ravine models are slated to be available in July, 2017.
