SHOT 2017: New Colt Combat Commander 1911 Pistol

The Colt Combat Commander is a version of the famous 1911 pistol with a shortened slide designed specifically for concealed carry. The “Combat” designation indicates that this is the steel frame version of the compact pistol while the regular “Commander” versions are built on an aluminum frame. Although the gun has been in the catalog for years it has had some changes over time. The current version is available in both an 8-round .45 ACP variant and a 9-round 9mm model.
