Coming Soon: Steel Will Roamer Knives

Steel Will, a popular Italian and Chinese knife brand, has announced the release of an entirely new stable of fixed blades. Dubbed the “Roamer” series, this four-model family offers quality materials and sharp designs.

Unlike their popular line of Druid fixed blades, each version of the Roamer utilizes D2 steel. While not as rust-resistant as 9Cr18MoV, this should provide an improvement in edge retention. Each of these full-tang knives will be clad with TPE handles in your choice of orange or black. Nylon sheaths will be the stock method of carry, though Steel Will has yet to post images of their style and configuration.

Here’s a quick rundown of the blade lengths, widths, and thicknesses:

So, how can you get one? According to Steel Will, “you can easily place a pre-order for our new Roamer and Modus (or any other Steel Will Knife in our catalog) via e-mail, website, or just call and we will gladly notify you when they become available.” Most of these are available now, though Steel Will has informed me that one model is temporarily sold out.

I’ve had good experiences with both the Steel Will Cutjack and Druid 205. You can bet I’ll be hitting the trails with one or more of these Roamers as soon as possible.
