Watch: How to Sew With a Swiss Army Knife

My father received a Victorinox Swiss Army knife when I was young, and it became his favorite EDC knife. He carried it in his pocket for many years and used it for many things, but I can guarantee he never used it for stitching. Heck, he and I used to snicker at the very notion.

This video demonstrates that the awl (and I can’t repeat Dad’s name for it here) can indeed be successfully used for sewing.

Shove it through, run the working end of the thread through the loop, pull out, and repeat. Pretty useful at camp or in a pinch.

Enjoy.
