Heckler & Koch G28 DMR available now in Canada

The highly anticipated Heckler & Koch G28 Designated Marksman Rifle (DMR) in 7.62x51mm have landed in Canada for civilian sales. Interestingly, the German government allowed these rifles to be exported carrying the actual Bundeswehr designation instead of G28Z which is the commercial market name. It features a 16.5″ cold hammer forged barrel and it has a guaranteed accuracy of 1.5 MOA with 10 rounds of match ammunition. The G28 DMR is based on the MR308/MR762 rifle, but unlike the MR308/MR762, the upper receiver is made of steel instead of aluminum which was a Bundeswehr requirement.
It carries a MSRP of $16,000 which equals to just over USD $12,000. Sadly, due to restriction in Canada, they are limited to 5-round magazines only instead of the original 20-round magazines and being a restricted firearm, licensed firearm owners can only take it to and from a shooting range.
The complete G28 rifle package includes the harris bipod, vertical grip, Schmidt & Bender 3-20×50 PM II in RAL8000 color, scope mount and Aimpoint T1 in 4 MOA. It is just like how the rifle is issued to the Bundeswehr by Heckler & Koch Germany.
