New Carbon Legacy Traditional Arrows Introduced by Easton

A new shaft is on the market for archers – The Carbon Legacy. Carbon shafts tend to be very popular since they last very long when compared to aluminum, fiberglass, and even traditional wood shafts. The new Carbon Legacy Shafts come pre-fletched with 4″ left-wing helical feathers including a traditional barred index feather with combinations of solid red, white, and bright yellow hen feathers.

The Carbon Legacy was inspired by some of the original workmanship done by company founder Doug Easton from 1922. The designers and engineers at Easton went back into the company archives to take a look at some of Doug’s original wood shaft arrows and gained inspiration from those to produce the Carbon Legacy. With all of the new, high-tech, and fancy products we have in the archery industry now, I guess there is a little bit of a yearning for the classic. I grew up shooting aluminum and fiberglass arrows. Carbon arrows are somewhat of a new thing for me, but I do see a lot of advantages with them as far as durable and reliable training arrows.

Carbon has become one of the most popular arrow shaft types despite the notion that its lightweight construction can lead to less power downrange due to its quick bleed-off in velocity; however, carbon shafts more than make up for this deficiency because of their durability, flatter shooting trajectory, and resistance to wind drift. Easton’s new Carbon Legacy Arrows are available from the Easton website in several sizes for $69.99 per six-pack of fletched arrows. Heavier grain inserts and points are sold separately on the season website.
