Coming Soon: Remington Outdoor and Fashion Apparel

Remington, the ammunition giant out of Arkansas that faced an uncertain future not so long ago, is back in business. The company is returning to its outdoor roots, too. This week, Remington announced that an upcoming branded apparel line will aim to please the hunting set. A partnership with Minnesota-based apparel maker Core Resources was recently launched, and soon lots of outdoor gear bearing the Remington logo will make its way to sporting goods store shelves.

Core Resources is a family of brands that will be familiar to most avid hunters. The brands include GameHide, a line of mostly camouflage or blaze-orange jackets, shirts, bibs, shooting vests, and headgear. Then, there’s StormHide, a selection of outer layers for wet weather hunts. Finally, DeerCampClothing.com offers both fashion and outdoor apparel for, you guessed it, America’s millions of deer hunting enthusiasts.

“These trusted brands are known for their quality gear, and we are really excited to see them bear the Remington brand,” said Danny Evans, Remington’s Director of Licensed Products. “Whether chasing big or small game, upland birds, waterfowl or anything in between, our devoted fans can enjoy this top quality apparel and represent Big Green.”

The celebration of the partnership is mutual. Dave Larsen, CEO of Core Resources, said, “we’re excited to be partnering with Remington to bring the 200+ year old brand back into the hunting and outdoor lifestyle category. With over 30 years of hunting garment know-how in our brands, consumers will soon be able to wear Remington branded hunting apparel. The line will feature the latest in apparel technologies with styles for hunting all North America’s wild game. We are honored to be a part of the Remington brand that has stood the test of time like no other, offering quality, value and innovation.”

The Remington revival is well underway, and these products herald a new era for the ammo maker. Evans said Remington invites other complementary marketing partnerships.

There’s no definite release date for the Remington-branded Core Resources apparel, but from the late-summer staging of the announcement, it appears the goods will be ready for the fall hunting season. At consumer-friendly price points of mostly under $100, these new items will make good holiday gifts for hunters.
