POTD: In The Future All is Chrome – Stolle Panda Light Varmint Class Rifle

Welcome to today’s Photo of the Day! This rifle and its company are strangers to me, but man it looks interesting, doesn’t it? This is a Stolle Panda F Class rifle chambered in 6mm PPC. Stolle was once a small boutique sort of company that catered to precision shooters and their competitions. Stolle eventually went under, was bought out, and currently is manufactured under a different name. The Stolle rifles were known for having aluminum actions and ports – either on the left or right for ejection and loading. This one has a left-hand port.

“This rifle has a Stolle F-class Panda left port right bolt single shot aluminum action with integrated scope rail. The heavy fluted stainless barrel is marked “S. G. & Y. Rifles” in cursive script over “6MM-PPC” on the left side. The bolt is also fluted and the trigger is set extremely light. The scope rings are aluminum and hold a Leupold BR 36x scope with tall capped target turrets, adaptor ring, 2 1/2 inch sunshade and Butler Creek lens caps. Mounted to a Kelbly SPG FB synthetic stock with silver, gray and black painted finish.”
