New from HEVI-Shot, the HEVI-Hammer Bismuth-Steel Dove Loads mix advanced metals, increasing performance over lead projectiles.

They wanted a highly effective product that was non-toxic to use in areas that restrict the use of lead.”

The addition to the HEVI-Hammer line uses 15% high-density bismuth and 85% steel. This mix of materials delivers almost 50% more energy than shells that use only steel projectiles. The shells are available in 3-inch 12- or 20-gauge, both utilizing No. 7 shot. Due to the increased density of the materials used, hunters can use smaller shot, which allows the shell to launch more pellets for a higher hit probability. The payload of the 12-gauge is one ounce and flies at 1,350 fps. The 20-gauge option has a total weight of 3/4 ounces and heads toward your target at 1,325 fps. While these metals give all hunters a clear advantage, they are also ideal for those hunting in areas that restrict the use of lead. These shells are nontoxic.
