Florida Friendly Angler Course Live Online Now

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC), UF/IFAS Extension, and Florida Sea Grant have teamed up to develop the Florida Friendly Angler course. This is a free online course for both the newest of anglers and experienced anglers looking to educate themselves on current fisheries management and up their fishing skills. This will help anyone’s fishing game by teaching skills and practices that will help ensure fishing opportunities for the future of our waters.
The Florida Friendly Angler course is comprised of three self-paced modules. These modules cover the topics of environmental ethics, the best fishing practices, and fisheries management. These narrated presentations in the modules can be accessed any time after registration in the course. Upon completion of the course, you will receive an electronic certificate of completion and have a Florida Friendly Angler decal mailed to you. To have the decal sent to you, you will need to provide your contact information for delivery.

This is a free course open to anyone in the public, great for teaching your kids or new anglers about proper fisheries practices. This will help the fish and the environment, a win-win for our fisheries. The course will cover these three essential topics.

The course is self-paced and you can take as long as you need to complete it, but why wait? In just under 2 hours, you can be a fully certified Florida Friendly Angler!
