Eddie Bauer “Live Your Adventure” Film Series: Nourishing Outdoor Stories

The Eddie Bauer “Live your Adventure” film series is an initiative and media celebration of tapping into the power of outdoor recreation to nourish yourself, your community, and your planet. The Live Your Adventure Film Series includes five short films that were created in partnership with previous One Outside Film Grant winners – Erin Joy Nash and Sanjana Sekhar – of Brave Space Media. Erin and Sanjana are a multi-racial, women-led, radically collaborative creative team dedicated to telling stories of healing that uplift traditionally underrepresented voices.

Currently, there have been 3 of the total 5 films released (with the remaining 2 films set to debut soon). The films that are currently available to watch are listed below:
- Kayla’s Healing
- Learn how fly fishing has helped Eddie Bauer Guide Kayla Lockheart deal with anxiety and depression, and how she’s introducing others to its restorative energy as well.
- Tyrhee’s Community
- Eddie Bauer Guide Tyhree Moore shares how getting outside as a child changed his life. But as he grew older, he became more and more aware of a lack of racial diversity in the outdoors. That’s why Tyrhee founded Soul Trak Outdoors – a non-profit organization based in the Washington D.C. area that helps people of color connect with outdoor spaces and find healing in community.
- Kisha’s Power
- Kisha is a Black storyteller, producer, director, and adventurer. When an autoimmune disease caused mobility issues in her young adulthood, she actively sought movement as a form of healing. This brought her to the outdoors, and sparked a passion to explore and challenge stereotypes about what it means to be an adventurer. She’s currently working on a documentary called, “Black Girl In The Woods,” a chronicle of her’s and others’ journeys to reclaim space in nature.
The next film in the “Live your Adventure” film series is “Samara’s Reconnection” which will be going Live tomorrow October 11th. Then, the final film dubbed “Live Your Adventure” will air October 17th.
