CMC released their CMC AK Trigger Group 2.0 series late last year, giving the AK market a true modern feeling single stage trigger. I got a close look at these new trigger groups at their booth at Shot Show 2023, let’s check them out. Maybe this will be a new trigger group you might want to install in one of your AKs as a significant and vital upgrade.

The AK Trigger Group 2.0 is available in a few flavors. Traditional AK trigger profile, AR style curved, and CMCs popular flat. All are preset for a 3.5lb trigger pull, but can be ordered at 2.5, 3.5, or 4.5.

With its 100% modular, CNC-machined, and easy to install design, our trigger group will give your AK the cleanest, most reliable trigger pull it’s ever had. If you’ve ever fired a factory AK, the trigger does not have a wall, very smooth pull through and fire. As far as mas produced rifles go, AKs have decent stock triggers. If you are most used to AR triggers, these CMC AK Trigger Groups will have you feeling right at home. These have minimal take up to the wall and an incredibly clean break. Reset is tactile and short. Install will be much easier than a standard AK fire control group, no more snake bite from the twisted spring.
