Zastava USA began importing the M77 last year in modern furniture with adjustable stocks. These are functional ways to equip your .308 caliber rifle, but many customers, me included, hoped for a more traditional looking example. At Shot Show 2023, Zastava USA showcased just what I was hoping for – a wood furniture m77 – and they are seeing if there is enough interest for this new SKU.

The Zastava M77 is an incredible AK derivative. In production since the late 70s, this rifle was the replacement for the 8mm M76, and is still in service to this day. Since import restrictions and outright bans, there are not many .308 AKs left in the US market, and even fewer with the feature set of the Zastava M77.
The semi-automatic PAP M77 series sporting rifle was created on the operating principle of the M70 automatic rifle. Chambered in the proven and powerful .308 caliber, the PAP M77 is an accurate, easy to control rifle platform for shooters of all types. It comes standard with an adjustable gas system to tune the rifle to various extreme environments. Capable of functioning in all environments, its rugged, reliable, no-nonsense features make the PAP M77 an excellent excellent addition to your hunting and sporting rifle collection.

This wood furniture example showcased at the Zastava USA booth shows what the wood furniture example could look like. Wood grain, finish, and grip might be different. The Serbian coat of arms will also be absent, but myself and Eugene L. of AllOutdoor did speak with a Zastava USA rep saying this could be a great opportunity for custom engraved pieces to be sold on their website.
