In a landscape occupied by giants, winning an ammunition award is difficult. This year, Federal makes it look easy by taking the Best Shotshell Gold award, presented to them at SHOT Show by Predator Xtreme.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell any of you, but Predator Xtreme is a well-known magazine in the hunting world, as well as the shooting community as a whole. Every year, Predator Xtreme gives awards to products that shine above the rest, and the manufacturers who produce them. The “Best Shotshell” category was first introduced in 2015. Since then, Federal Ammunition has won the award five times. Including this year, four of those five times have been consecutive over the past four years. This year Federal has once again won the Gold award. More impressive still, the winner is not decided by the magazine and its staff. Readers were polled and ultimately selected Federal as the winner.
