Weatherby’s Newest Chapter: The Model 307 Rifle

The new Model 307 bolt action rifle is the first new bolt action centerfire rifle from American gun manufacturer Weatherby in over 50 years. Proudly designed, built, and tested in Sheridan, Wyoming, the Model 307 was inspired by the people of the “307” area code. The Model 307 has a 2-Lug, fully cylindrical design purpose-built to accommodate most of the current offerings in after-market parts for 700-style bolt action rifles. This includes stocks, triggers, rails, mounts, chassis, and magazines that exist in the marketplace. Hunters and shooters alike can expect to get the same level of American Made precision and craftmanship that Weatherby has been delivering since 1945.
The new Model 307 features an all-new bolt release button above the receiver stock line, for added strength and easier bolt removal. The bolt of the rifle has been redesigned for a completely tool-less takedown along with a new M16-style extractor for positive extraction and smoother cycling. Both complete models of the 307 are compatible with a variety of 700 platform metal options. All the complete rifles come suppressor ready 1/2-28 pitch thread and a radially ported Accubrake attached. The triggers for the rifles are from TriggerTech triggers for a true zero-creep break and adjustability down to 2.5 lbs. The Model 307 rifle will be available in 3 options from Weatherby, the Model 307 Range XP, the Model 307 Alpine MDT, and the Model 307 Builders Action.
