DAIWA’S NEW 25 Saltiga 300 Super Light Jigging Reel

After the popularity of the 24 Saltiga Jigging Star Drag 15 last year, DAIWA has brought out another refined jigging reel this year with the 25 Saltiga 300. This is a purpose-made super-light-jigging (SLJ) reel, that is powerful and plenty capable while still being in a svelte package. Built to fit a more finesse jigging role, the 25 Saltiga 300 is even more compact than the 24 Saltiga Jigging Star Drag 15. Even still it is capable of easily holding 370 yards of 20-lb braid.

“The new 25SALTIGA 300 is the next level in super-light-jigging,” said DAIWA Marketing Manager, Chris Martin. “It’s for the angler who has experience in the craft and wants even more finesse.”
Unlike the previous Saltiga though this reel comes with a level wind like that of a baitcaster to smoothly and evenly guide the line onto the spool. This is to let anglers focus on fishing and working the jig, not managing the line. Even with the smaller palmable frame, this reel is capable of up to 22 lbs of drag and is loaded up with DAIWA’s HYPERDRIVE technologies. MSRP for the reel is $599.99 and comes with a 5-year service warranty and 5 years of service and cleaning as well. It is available in both left and right-handed models in two gear ratios.
