Just in time for trout season, Daiwa has released a new, refined fishing spoon with the Presso Rave2. While you would think that the design of a metal fishing spoon has stayed pretty much the same for ages now, Daiwa is out here still refining and improving upon these timeless lures. The Presso Rave2 features a distinct teardrop shape that has a deep curve to it, letting the spoon kick out and subtly roll as you bring it back in. Even if you crawl this spoon in, it is engineered to stably swim with the concave side always facing down. This swimming action, plus the two-tone patterns, shows just enough of the belly of the spoon to draw fish in to the rhythmic flashing of the spoon.

With the target of trout in mind for this new fishing spoon, all of these new Daiwa spoons come with a single slender hook that comes with a sharp point and a micro-barb to help anglers release their catches without causing any undue damage to the fish.
Martin says the PRESSO RAVE2 is purposed for trout, but also efficient on panfish. “Fishing for stocked trout in lakes and ponds is growing in popularity, and precision casting spoons offer a great alternative to soaking marshmallows or other stagnant baits.
