YETI launched on their website a new tool that will allow online shoppers to now customize their Tundra 45 Hard Coolers with special trim kits for the very first time! You can check out the tool HERE (U.S. only). Previously, the only way for consumers to customize their Tundra 45 Hard Cooler was to travel to a YETI brick-and-mortar retail location (24 total locations). Now, that is opened up to everyone as you can do it seamlessly online.

How Does the Process Work? YETI Tundra 45 Customization

To begin your very own cooler customization process, hit up the YETI website HERE. Then, you can go through these options:

SELECT – Cooler Color (Tundra 45)

Charcoal, Tan, White, Navy, Rescue Red

SELECT – Trim Kit (Handles, Latches, Logos)

Bright Orange, Red, Pink, Maroon, Light Blue, Dark Green, Blue

SELECT – Accessories

YETI Ice: 2 Lb & 4 Lb Sizes
YETI Food Storage: Medium & Large Containers

After walking yourself through those 3 categories, you are all done! You’re customized cooler and experience is complete, and fully in your hands. Now, that you have a grasp of how easy this is to create your own YETI Tundra 45 customized cooler, let’s take a gander at one that I created and see how it really looks in-person.

YETI Tundra 45 Customization – Special Trim Kits

To start off my cooler color selection, I opted for a plain white color. This might not be the most creative, but being a firefighter, I knew that my eventual end-product would be to my liking. The next step in the process as previously outlined was the choice of your selected trim kit color. For that, I went with the bright, eye-popping red color. This subtle, but bold choice looked really attractive to me and I like the way it turned out.

Finally, I went with all of the accessory options, plus I went back into the YETI website and added even some more (might as well go whole hog while we’re at it). So, I received a couple of the 2 Lb YETI Ice packs.

I didn’t just get the Medium and Large YETI Food Storage containers, but the Small one as well to fully complete the set.

I also went in and grabbed a 36 Oz Rambler Bottle before checking out from the website as well. You have to stay hydrated during all of your adventures, right?

Your customized YETI Tundra 45 cooler comes with a Cooler Basket as a part of your regular purchase, but if you want more suspended storage in your cooler, you can always grab extra ones off of the YETI website as well.

Final Thoughts

So, what are my final thoughts on the YETI Tundra 45 Customization process with Special Trim Kits?… Overall, I love it! It is a simple, streamlined process and if you don’t live particularly close to a YETI brick-and-mortar, retail store, you can always participate in this online process to get yourself a custom cooler from YETI. Additionally, this Yeti product – like so many others – gives you a 5-Year Warranty at your side, Free Returns if something is ever not to your liking, and Free Shipping on orders for Yeti Account Holders.
