Shimano’s Flagship MGL Reel gets a New Size – EXSENCE 2500XGB

Shimano North America Fishing has announced the new EXSENCE 2500XGB to expand their flagship MagnumLite spinning reel. This new 2500-size spinning reel gives anglers a light-tackle option for the EXSENCE B MGL reels. It still features all of Shimano’s most advanced reel technologies, but now in a compact and lightweight frame. It features an ultra-fast Xg gearing (6.4:1) to make it a great bass or finesse reel. The heart of the reel lies in the MGL rotor, made of CI4+ material but with a unique asymmetrical design, and lightweight parts to reduce rotational inertia. This gives anglers instant reel startup and agile bait control with every handle turn. This reel will be available for purchase later this year with an MSRP of $599.99.
