[NRAAM 2025] The Romeo 8T AMR – SIG’s Ultimate Magnified Red Dot

SIG SAUER is here in Atlanta, Georgia, for the NRA Annual Meeting with one of the coolest new magnified red dot options in a while, with the Romeo 8T AMR. This is a new version of the already popular Romeo 8T that now has about 40% of the weight and size shaved off from the original. The Romeo 8T AMR now features a larger 40mm Mangin lens for a giant field of view, and has a Quad Ballistic Circle Dot 2.0 reticle. Now, talking about the reticle is where the biggest new change for the Romeo 8T AMR is; the AMR in the name stands for Automatic Modified Reticle. When combined with the Juliet 3T AMR, using a magnet array in the red dot, it recognizes that the magnifier is flipped over and will change the reticle, removing the ring and lowering the brightness for users to better use the ballistic holds. The only limitation with this magnetic AMR system is that the red dot and magnifier must be within 3 pic-rail slots of each other.

Beyond the AMR functions of the Romeo 8T AMR, it comes with 15 brightness settings, including 3 night vision settings, multiple reticle modes, which can be saved to your preferences, and a panic bright override for quick swap from NV modes in case of sudden white light usage. A removable flipback array that can protect the optic and is T10 mounted and user-removable. This dot uses a laterally mounted CR123 battery for 50,000 hours of runtime and uses a 1/2 in hex bolt mounting system. Both the Romeo 8T AMR and Juliet 3T AMR are made in the USA, and have an MSRP of $699.99 for the Romeo, $399.99 for the Juliet, and $999.99 for the combo.
