Video: Fitting, care, and maintenance of your respirator mask

Every prepper has at least one type of air filtration mask sitting in their bug-out-bag. Even if you don’t identify as a prepper or survivalist, hospital-grade N95 masks are cheap to buy in bulk, and could mean the difference between life and death in a major airborne illness pandemic.

But it’s not enough to just buy a stash of N95’s, or, for the more hardcore, gas masks, and keep them in the back of your closet. You also need to know how to fit them properly if they’re going to do you any good. That’s where this great OSHA video comes in.

I found this over at Mike Coston’s Avian Flu Diary, a fantastic resource that should be in every prepper’s bookmarks. Every infectious disease blogger out there loves Coston and links him regulary, so if you want to be among the first to know about an emerging pandemic threat, Coston’s blog is a must-read.
