Eek! Rubber Bullets! Actually, Foam Earplugs Work Pretty Well (Video)

Last summer, a reporter in Ferguson posted a photo of orange foam earplugs, asking his social media followers whether they could confirm that they were rubber bullets.

Er… they weren’t.

But a shooter decided to try using foam earplugs as practice projectiles in 45 Colt ammo in his single action revolver. His results were actually pretty good, with the soft foam easily breaking balloons and even cracking the surface of corrugated cardboard.

Check it out in the earplug bullets video below. It seems like an easy way to load practice ammo without buying a bunch of specialized stuff.
