Cowboy Firearms from Cimarron at the 2016 SHOT Show

The Cimarron Firearms Co. has been providing smokepoles and hoglegs to Cowboy Action Shooters for three decades.

I spoke with Dave Parker, known as “Abilene” in the SASS, at the 2016 SHOT Show about some of the company’s newest products.

The Model 1889 double-barrel shotgun won the SASS’s Wooly Award as “Gun of the Year” for 2015. The retail price is $765.70

The Eliminator 8 is a clone of the Colt Single Action Army with an Army grip, 4 3/4″ octagonal barrel, and “short stroke” hammer with less travel distance required to cock the single-action hammer. It is chambered in .357 Magnum/.38 Special or .45 Colt. The retail price is $778.70.
