Rob Reed 02.02.16

I took a look at the new products from Crimson Trace at the 2016 SHOT Show.
The company describes the LiNQ as “The World’s First Wireless Laser and White Light System.” The system is designed for AR style rifles and includes a rail mounted green laser and 300 lumen LED light component with a wireless control unit mounted in the pistol grip.
From the Crimson Trace LINQ page: (There is a promo video at the link as well)
“LiNQ™ combines a green laser sight and 300-Lumen LED white light with Instinctive Activation™ for AR-Type Modern Sporting Rifles. Utilizing a secure, individual connection, LiNQ offers complete wireless control of the laser and light module. The replacement grip is ergonomically designed for quick activation and mode changes, eliminating the need to reach for the rifle’s forend to operate.
The green laser sight, coupled with a powerful tactical light, offers high visibility in all lighting conditions, making LiNQ the ultimate illumination and targeting solution.”
The LiNQ is expected to be released this summer for a retail of $549.
The company also had examples of their Laserguard Pro laser light combo units for handguns on hand. The Laserguard Pro series is expected to be released in the next few months for $279 retail.
From the Crimson Trace website:
“Laserguard® Pro™ takes standard equipment for personal defense to the next level. Designed for today’s most popular concealed carry handguns, Laserguard Pro combines a red laser sight and 150-Lumen LED white light and features Instinctive Activation™ in a compact unit–fitting seamlessly popular compact carry guns. Laserguard Pro features 4 modes of operation, (laser + light, laser only, light only, laser + light strobe), a master on/off switch, user adjustable windage and elevation, and 2 hours of battery life. Available for GLOCK 42 & 43, Smith & Wesson M&P Shield, and Springfield Armory XD-S pistols.”
The last new product demonstrated at the show are new products in the Crimson Trace Master Series of laser grips for the 1911 pistol. This includes both new grip material and a new green laser. The Master Series products retail for either $399 or $449, depending on the specific item.
From the Crimson Trace press release on their site:

Only Master Series combines Instinctive Activation™ with the exceptional look, feel, and durability of natural wood and G10 materials. Master Series lasers combine customization with performance by offering seamless frame integration, compatibility with ambi-safeties, complete windage and elevation control, precision micro laser diode optics, and the immense tactical advantages that only Crimson Trace Instinctive Activation can provide.”
