New Alessi Bodyguard Shoulder Holster Variant at the 2016 SHOT Show

The Alessi Bodyguard shoulder holster is a high quality leather rig known for it’s comfort and retention.

The holster and rig is made from 100% top grain russet leather with the gun positioned semi-horizontally with the butt down in the hollow of the body for a fast natural draw. A double magazine or speedloader pouch hangs from the opposite shoulder. The complete rig retails for $225.

At the 2016 SHOT Show Alessi Holsters President Tom Kulwicki showed me an improvement to the design for those shooters with striker fired pistols. Up until now the only version available for guns without a manual safety used a thumb break system instead of the faster “Speed Break” system that only requires the shooter to pull the gun out forcefully to open the retention strap. After numerous customer requests, he designed a Speed Break version that works for striker-fired pistols without sacrificing retention or safety.

I have an Alessi Bodyguard for the Sig 239, and I’ve found it to live up to it’s reputation for quality and comfort. I especially appreciate wearing it on long car trips where the comfort and ease of access while seat belted really shines.

Watch the video where Tom Kulwicki explains the difference between the thumb break and the Speed Break and discusses the general features of the holster.
