Low Cost/Low Key Items For Urban Preparedness
One of the easiest ways to get started is by planting a small backyard garden. Chances are there is a flower bed somewhere around the house that is not being used. Use that flower bed and plant beans, peas, squash, spinach, etc.
Do you have a chain link fence around your backyard? Plant some climbing beans at the bottom of the fence. The vines will climb up the fence and all you have to do is pick the beans.
