Sticky Holsters Release New Optics-Ready Version

Florida-based Sticky Holsters just announced their newly available optics-ready holsters. The new holsters are consistent with the company’s existing sizing standards, but include a cut-away section for increasingly popular red dot optics. Sticky Holsters are so named because of their unique texture. These sheath-style holsters are made of a neoprene-like fabric. The outside finish has an almost rubbery texture that allows for clip- and loop-free retention when a holster is worn with a belt or taut drawstring inside the waistband, or carried in a pocket.

While there are some imitation products on the market today, Sticky Holsters represent the original and “stickiest” choice for no-strap retention in this style of holster. The soft insides of the holster insure a scratch-free experience for those who want to preserve their gun’s bluing, nitride, or other barrel/frame finish. The price of the new optics-ready holsters is $39.95. The 14 new models represent a very broad range of handguns including most that are popular for concealed carry. Finding the right fit is made simple by using the gun size or brand-model search function on the Sticky Holsters website. There are also magazine carriers available to match.

This budget-friendly holster represents a good choice for both entry-level and experienced concealed carry practitioners. When used correctly, these holsters provide secure trigger guard coverage and retention. Potential customers should be aware to follow firearms safety rules at all times including when using Sticky Holsters. Because this inside-waistband/inside-pocket holster is soft-sided, it goes flat when the gun is drawn. Thus it is advised to remove the holster from the body after drawing, safely insert the muzzle into the Sticky Holster while holding the gun in a firing grip with finger off trigger, and placing the open end of the sheath-like holster over the muzzle from above using the support hand. This avoids “muzzling” the support hand. When the gun is fully inserted into the Sticky Holster, the gun/holster unit can then be inserted into the waistband, pocket, or other carry position.
