Ultegra 14000 XSE Surf Reel New from Shimano for 2022

Shimano has released the new Ultegra 14000 XSE surf reel. This reel is the newest iteration of their popular long-range surf reel. Packed full of Shimano engineering features this reel is meant to redefine the mid-priced long-range reel market. It features Shimano’s famous Hagane Drive Gear system, with its cold-forged gearing. This delivers a long-lasting smoothness, and strength to the gearing of the reel. Matched with the Hagane gear is the Infinity Drive. Which delivers powerful smooth gearing with no sliding resistance. It gives light winding of the reel in both load and no-load conditions. This is all housed in the new Ci4+ body and rotor, giving remarkable stiffness while still being incredibly light. The last main feature of the Ultegra XSE is the Rigid Cast technology to provide strength and lightness for the main shaft of the reel. The MSRP is set at $215.
