NEW Smith & Wesson M&P 5.7 Two-Tone Black and FDE (Flat Dark Earth)

When Smith & Wesson announced a pistol chambered in 5.7x28mm at SHOT Show 2023 they surprised everyone. Now, that it has been multiples months since that initial announcement Smith & Wesson has received high praise and a lot of positive reviews. To add further fuel to the fire, Smith & Wesson has now unveiled a delicious peanut butter version to tempt people’s wallets – an M&P 5.7 Two-Tone in Black and FDE (Flat Dark Earth).

Smith & Wesson Coverage on AllOutdoor

All of the traits and characteristics you remember from the original black pistol still hold true for the M&P 5.7 Two-Tone in Black and FDE (Flat Dark Earth). You have Smith & Wesson’s proprietary and reliable TEMPO barrel system, it is threaded for silencers, and you have an optics mounting area on the rear of the slide. The rest of the highlights for this pistol can be read below as presented by Smith & Wesson:

  • Internal hammer-fired, gas-operated, locked-breech TEMPO™ barrel system (barrel doesn’t cam open until bullet passes gas port)
  • Slim, optimally textured grip
  • Ambidextrous slide stop
  • Reversible magazine release
  • Slide cut for optics

5.7 Two-Tone

  • Flat face trigger for consistent finger placement that allows for more accurate and repeatable shooting
  • Picatinny-style equipment rail
  • Forward slide serrations
  • Crisp single-action trigger break
  • Accurate 1 in 9″ twist barrel
  • Comes with two (2) 22-round magazines

The same 5.7x28mm you all know and love featuring TEMPO™ technology, 22+1 capacity, optics-cut slide, crisp trigger, and full Pic-rail. Now available with an FDE frame!

The MSRP for the Smith & Wesson M&P 5.7 Two-Tone in Black and FDE (Flat Dark Earth) is benchmarked at $719 making it $20 more expensive than its black counterpart; a small upcharge if you want to be a part of the peanut butter militia. In my opinion, the FDE color is tastefully done, and if I were entertaining one of these pistols, I would absolutely choose the FDE over the black.
