POTD: Are your Trail Cameras Ready for the Upcoming Whitetail Rut?

If you don’t already have your trail cameras out for whitetail deer hunting this fall and the whitetail rut, the time to do it is now! The weather is getting colder every single day, farmers are beginning to harvest their crops off of fields (meaning there are less places for those big bucks to hide), and it will not be long before their natural instincts kick in and the rut will be on! Bucks will begin pursuing does and you will want to document all of the activity that is occurring around you so you know whether to shoot that basket 6-pointer or to wait for something much larger. In this particular photo off of my personal trail cameras, this is a large 10-point buck that was on my property all summer, disappeared all September, and now that local farmers have harvested crops he is back. Hopefully this buck sticks around longer because he would make one heck of a trophy.
