Daisy’s Adult Red Ryder Kit: Two Guns, Target Launcher, and More

If — like me — you never owned a Daisy Red Ryder BB gun as a young ‘un and you wish to make up for that, this just might be the Christmas to do so. And at the same time, you can give a young person an unforgettable Red Ryder experience.

You may recall a post from last year about the new adult-sized Red Ryder. This year you can buy a combo kit containing two (count ’em!) Red Ryder BB guns, two pairs of shooting glasses, BBs, and a Rocket Shot target launcher! Dude.

I don’t know of a better way to introduce kids to guns and shooting than a BB gun. It flings projectiles just like a “real” gun, but without so much oomph. And a nearly-matching set of Red Ryders seems like it might produce some excellent bonding moments.

Let’s not forget the Rocket Shot target launcher. Talk about fun! Punching paper can be painfully boring, especially to young folks. With this thing, you cram in a soda can, compressing the spring and locking the “sear” with the small paddle target below. When the paddle is hit, the sear releases the spring, flinging the can up into the air, where you can try to hit it before it hits the ground. Awesome!!
