New Ultralight Arms (NULA) Line of Bolt-Action Rifles from Wilson Combat

Wilson Combat has recently made a departure from their traditional line-up of crafting high-end handguns and AR platform rifles to work on bolt-action rifles via a collaboration between the iconic Melvin Forbes and Bill Wilson. This unique project has culminated in NULA – New Ultralight Arms – and the Model 20 bolt-action rifle series from Wilson Combat. Meant to exude surgical accuracy and a feathery weight, these rifles have already received high praise from several firearm industry publications.

The New Ultralight Arms Model 20 from Wilson Combat has current cartridge offerings that include .243 Winchester, 6.5 Creedmoor, 7mm-08 Remington, .308 Winchester, and .358 Winchester with many more coming soon. The price tags are steep, but that is to be expected coming from Wilson Combat with their name brand recognition and tradition of exceptional quality. Some of the links to their rifles as well as the MSRPs can be read below as provided by Wilson Combat:

Ultralight Arms

Wilson Combat has spared no expense in developing the new generation New Ultralight Arms (NULA) line of bolt action rifles. Wilson Combat has taken Melvin Forbes’ legendary rifle design and integrated several improvements by leveraging modern manufacturing methods and our 45 years of experience producing industry-leading quality firearms. The modern NULA rifle takes Melvin’s time-tested design to the next level of accurate and dependable bolt action rifles. NULA will prove to be the future definitive choice in bolt action rifles.

The hunting industry as a whole seems to be leaning into the idea that “you don’t need a bull barrel and a heavy rifle to accomplish accuracy,” and I am so glad to see it. With lighter weight options becoming more readily available everyday and accuracy oddly improving, these NULA, New Ultralight Arms, Model 20s look to be exactly that with all of the refinements you would want in a quality hunting rifle. As always, let us know all of your thoughts in the Comments below! We always appreciate your feedback.
